Noli-Palazzo Vescovile, the former Bishop's Palace, set high on a hill, overlooking the town and the sea. Their restaurant , Ristorant Il Vescovado, has a Michelin star,
delicpus food, overlooking the sea.

Don't miss Finalborgo, it's beautiful and atmospheric.
Also Borgio-Verezzi, the upper village is Verezzi, from which you can hike down to Borgio, which has a famous cave, right at the end of the hiking trail (didn't visit the cave myself since it has limited visiting hours that didn't fit with my schedule that day).

Finale Ligure is a nice place to visit for a few hours, with its old town and cathedral, promenade. It has a fantastic gelateria right in the centre called Carlin, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Allow some time for the beach in Noli, it's lovely, as Noli itself is. You could also visit the beach at Varigotti but it's tiny.

This is one of three articles about towns in the Liguria Levante (south of Genoa) which will help narrow your choices and also lists hotels.

Another 7 part series on the same site describes small Ligurian villages that are worth visiting. I've been to Dolceacqua and Apricale near Ventimiglia and they are not to be missed.
