Istanbul apartment?

Does anyone have a good (under 100 euro) apartment to recommend in Istanbul? We'll be there a week over
New Year's.

Here's where I'm staying. Can't say for sure how nice it is as we haven't been there yet.

We leave Wednesday.

I am staying in this apartment now, leaving tomorrow, and I have really enjoyed it. Great location and very comfortable. Check with the owners on the price. I know mine was discounted because of the season. Enjoy yourself.

Mamachiquita: did you book an apartment in Istanbul? I'm a little leery of Towseesq's recommendation of the vrbo apartment. It is their first and only post. The apartment does look nice, but not sure about the review.

Check out the Galata Residence hotel...we stayed there last April and loved it. I was able to get rates in US Dollars instead of Euros and that made a huge difference in price. Great location in Beyoglu.

We stayed at one of the properties owned by Istanbul Holiday apartments. Because we were 4 we opted for the Tower view 2/1.5 at the Bereket apartments, but they offer several options.
We thought the location was perfect for us b/c it is on a street right off the Galata Tower plaza. We could see both the Tower and across the Golden Horn from our apt.
We loved buying fresh bread, juice etc every morning from one of the many little markets down the street so it felt like a home away from home.
In my opinion if you have more than 3 days, Beyoglu is a better choice because there are so many great restaurants, music clubs, shopping etc all within walking distance.
You can easily walk down and take the tram over to Sultanahmet or walk across the bridge.
My guess is that you will have milder weather in March than we did in December, so walking though the streets of Istanbul would be a joy.
