Never have encountered a Wal Mart in my many visits to Paris, but there is something of an equivalent called Auchan in the suburbs. There are also Auchan "hypermarkets" in the US - one in Houston that I know of for sure. <BR>Agree with other posts that cite Monoprix, etc. for quick, cheap (relative term, of course!) stuff <BR>

<BR>TATI! Elvira is right. i discovered Tati on my last trip to Paris. a cross between kmart and the old gimbles. (my friend & I went 2 days in a row! where else can one get a sheltand pullover sweater and a great fake (plastic) black motorcycle jacket for under 100ff EACH! no to mention 30ff dress shirts and 6ff boxer shorts. now if they only had a men's shoe dept.... <BR> <BR> <BR>
