Is it crazy to go to Brugge after the Provence Itinerary?
I need advice from the travel Gods here:
Our itinerary goes like this:
2 nights Wed and Thurs in London
1 night in Avignon - Friday
6 nights in St. Remy - Sat through Thursday - house rental (taking day trips through Provence)
2 nights in Vaison la Romaine - Friday and Sat for the wine region
2 nights in Rouissillon - Sunday and Monday for Luberon
We then have Tuesday, Wednesday but must be back in London on Thursday.
Would it be crazy to take the train from Avignon to Brugge for 2 evenings? Or should we spend the 2 nights in Provence and where would be suggested?
Merci
Karen

I would extend your stay in Roussillon. We spent a week in Rousillion last year and took day trips to a lot of the Luberon towns. We could have stayed longer. There are so many charming towns in the Luberon. We also did 4 nights in St. Remy and visited Les Baux, Arles, Aigues Mortes & Cassis while there.
I would save Brugge for another trip.

If cost is an issue, staying in the Provence might be better. You could get either a cheap airfare or a reduced train fare back to London. In terms of geography, Carcassonne is not in the Provence. You could check for cheap flights from Nice, Marseille or Toulouse, depending on where you extend your stay.
