Is anyone addicted to this web site??
I find this site to be truly addicitive. I just love reading about peopple's travels and their feelings about certain places. I find myself not wanting to log off; I usually stop because i have to be at work or it's 2am! Does anyone else out there feel like this? Sometimes, I'll get inspired to go someplace just because i read all your info. For example, we are going to Germany and Austria in May for 3-4 weeks. We've decided to include Prague due to all the praise it received when i read about it here.
I think this is a great way to learn about different places, even if you never end up going there-just reading about it can be wonderful. Are there other addicts out there - or could I be the only one??

Lynn, no, you're not the only one! I think that we've had a posting similar to this one before, and we all admit to our love for this site. I am a nurse who works a 3-11 shift, and as soon as I get home- here I am!! I love to hear about everyones trips. I watch the postings, and see trips develop right before my eyes. We went to Italy last year, and I used so much info from this site as a guide. This years trip isn't concrete yet, so I'm reading everything that is posted here, and I can't wait to put it all together. Even when I go on vacation, the first thing I do when I get home is check all the new postings! I too, am inspired by all of you that post here. God love you all!! Long live Fodors...

This site shows what is best about the web. It's the only site I look at on a daily basis. If there is a better way to learn from each other's experiences it would have to be a face to face conversation. A great big thanks to Fodor's for hosting this site and improving it as needed.

I fully agree with the other postings. I look at this forum 2 or 3 times a day and I regret that, after my lunch break, there are no new postings from the US (the US is then only just waking up) and that I have to wait until late afternoon before there is something new. Fortunately we have our Australian friends who always come first with their postings!

I thought I was the only one! I visit this web site everyday. It started last year when my husband and I were planning our first trip to Europe. We do not have plans to go back any time soon, but I can't help coming back. I'm hooked.

My husband thinks I'm crazy and unrealistic to be so passionate (obsessed?) about travel. I say fooey!

Addicted? MOI!
Well I *have* drawn the line at making this my browser "home"!
The information is great, it helps relive memories, and create desires for NEW memories!
It is also interesting to watch the ebb and flow of the site. The topics, out "temper."
Right now I think a LOT of us North American types are pretty *grumpy* from winter and it's showing!

When I'm feeling a little stressed out at work, nothing like logging onto this site for a quick fix of "oh yeah there IS something to do besides work - TRAVEL!". Thanks for great info, suggestions, websites, etc. Uh oh I feel a group hug coming on.....

Calling all travel junkies! Here in central Arizona today it's about 60 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, with visibility about 60 miles. We get reports from Seattle to Boston of gray skies, dripping drizzle, or inches of the strange white stuff. Life is short. What are you waiting for???

I am addicted and obsessed with this page! I log onto here just to read about other people's travels even if I have no plans to go to the place they are writing about. I love to read about the out-of-the-way places in each country.
Next stop for me: Iceland in Spring 1999 and USVI in Oct. 1999.
I look forward to learning alot from all you wonderful people on this base!
Kittie

I have to admit to the addiction and not reluctantly. This sight has been so helpful with info before traveling, even jetlag-ugh!!-as well as during my travels. Books that can help, tips of all kinds. Keep it coming.
Does anyone know how to print answers from this split forum more easily? I waste a lot of paper. thanks.
