IRYO train

After many trips to Spain I have finally booked a train ticket with NO aggravation or frustration! IRYO from Madrid to Cordoba! Kudos to this company for making the process so easy!!!

Arrive MAD at 6am and vacillated between taking 10:30am or 11:45am train from Atocha. Booked the latter to leave plenty of time, surely far too much time!

Funny thing is the the site asks if you need assistance: Are you hearing impaired, blind, or just OLD??!! Of course I checked the latter! Who knows, might help, might not...seat right up front 2A window......I love trains so very excited!! Even comes with choice of two different meal/snacks!!

Glad you booked the IRYO. We're taking it twice from Madrid to Córdoba, then from Córdoba to Sevilla just before you arrive.

We arrived in Madrid Airport in September at 0530. We too went back and forth on times of train to Cordoba. Took an 11:10am train, but because the process of getting thru Madrid Airport was so easy ( which was not expected as it it usually very time consuming) we wished we took an earlier train. But Atocha is a nice station and we had a nice wait. We even walked around outside the station for 45 minutes for some fresh air as there is a nice park a 10 minute walk from the station. The train was very comfortable and it was a quick 2.5 hours to Cordoba. Lot of castle ruins along the way.

eks,
Did you book the IRYO Infinita Bistro class? If so, IRYO has a VIP lounge across the street from the station in the Only You Hotel. The left luggage (consign) in Atocha was closed long ago, and only RENFE Premium ticket holds have access to the Sala Vip on Planta 1 in Atocha.

We did Madrid Cordoba bistro class and Cordoba Malaga in the standard class. The upgrade is well worth it imho, a lovely coach with plenty of room for luggage which in the standard class is limited if the train is full. The seats are very comfortable .The food is meh, but filled a hole as we say here, complimentary drinks are included. We really enjoyed wizzing through the countryside and were a little sad to disembark. Much better than our limited experience with Renfe

Yes, Infinita Bistrot is worth the upgrade. The food, although it may be meh, is still better than Renfe's catering and the cars are newer and more comfortable.

Here's the info about the Casa Iryo VIP lounge across the street from Atocha station inside the Only You Hotel Atocha. It's for Infinita class ticket holders.

Yes, you can tell the driver just to take you to the Hotel Only You Atocha on Paseo de la Infanta Isabel 13, directly across from Atocha station if you end up having lots of extra time before your train departure.

Just a note: There are two Only You hotels in Madrid, the Only You Atocha across from the rail station and the Only You Boutique at Barquillo 21. The former has the Casa IRYO lounge for its Infinita Bistro ticket holders.

Does the come on such xxl Routes 2x with food like when leave in Madrid? If not do I get some free refill there?
Thanks!

Maribel, is the lounge at the ONLY YOU lounge only for train passengers or is it just a lounge inside the hotel? I suppose I could not change my IRYO ticket idi I get there in time for an earlier train to Cordoba (??)

The lounge in the ONLY YOU hotel, across from Atocha rail, is only for the IRYO INFINITA AND SINGULAR ONLY YOU passengers. Itīs called Casa Iryo.

https://iryo.eu/en/station

I would. email the hotel to see if at the lounge you can change your ticket.
