Glasgow probably same but try
takes about 7 hours - think of stopping in some lovely rural area en route.

Not sure you could stop en route since they are express coaches. But one can book through National Express directly from Belfast all the way to Glasgow. You get on the coach in Belfast, can get off and stretch you legs on the ferry and then ride the coach on to central Glasgow. Costs £28 all in and about 6 hours total Belfast to central Glasgow.
Flying would be about the same cost and faster but if you really don't want to fly, the easiest is to book the Belfast/Glasgow coach.
