That was a plan I did for an Australian couple a few years ago, it just has a few possible points of interest along a route that might be relevant. There are 2 other maps linked in there, one for some sights in west Clare and one for some in the Connemara/Mayo area.

Hi Tony

I have another question as my husband now informs me that he really would like to visit Belfast....so we will and therefore as this is a road trip (!) we will then do a series of one nighters..I am very flexible when all is said and done!

Okay I then will have
Ennis (1) COM etc
Galway (1) to start Connemara drive
? (1)
? (1)
Derry (1)
Belfast(2)
What should my two other days be......If I start in Gaiway and do the Connemara drive and start to head north, should I stop in Westport or Sligo (Slieve League) or Donegal for the night
Should I put in an extra night instead around Potrush for one of those two nights??

There is more than enough to fill a day from Galway to Westport. Then Westport to Donegal and I would use Portrush as a base for Antrim rather than Derry others might use Portstuart and there are other options around Bushmills but I like to have the option for a night out. I might pinch a night from Dublin to reduce the dash of one nighters having 2 nights in either Westport or Donegal

Two nights in Westport! We are doing five. Great pubs, Clew hotel owns our apartment we are renting and they have been great working with them.

You will love Belfast, I would stay in Portstewart or Portrush, villages along the coast. There is a very nice hotel by Giant's Causeway, nice bar inside but nothing else but nature.
Do a Black Cab tour in Belfast, visit City hall, it was built by the same craftsmen that built the Titanic, stay in the city center. St. George's Market, Crown saloon, Bittle's bar.

One week Kenmare in beautiful home with great views.
It will be one night each Ennis, Galway
Donegal and Potrush
and Belfast for 2
Late arrival to Dublin for 3 days /4nights in renovated Victorian row home and leave early on day 4 for Montreal
