Ireland in July

My wife and I would like to visit Ireland this year. I have always gone to Europe in May or September to avoid the summer crowds.
We have an offer to go on a group tour in July to points in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
I was wondering if it would be very crowded in July. I believe the weather would be warmer.
Thank you for your help.

Have not enjoyed Ireland in July but it appears typical highs are about 60 degrees, cooler than I expected. Layers. Also not sure if you are considering a group tour, planning your own route and activities is very do-able unless having things pre-arranged and booked best fits your travel style. Tours are sometimes rushed and you are on the move constantly.

You can't predict the weather. Of course, this might not happen to you, but I spent ten days in Ireland in July and it rained every day. There was only sun for a while one afternoon and another partial afternoon without rain. Not just the light, drizzly rain. It poured much of the time. I was drenched a lot, even with an umbrella. It didn't help that locals kept telling me that the two weeks leading up to my arrival were beautiful! Good luck!

It isn't called the Emerald Isle because of the stone, but because it rains, even more than Britain.

I wouldn't necessarily believe the weather to be warmer in July. Our daughter did her Third Level (Undergrad) at Trinity College Dublin and stayed over the summers for research projects and whatnot. The weather was everything from chillly and rainy to "hot," the latter being relative for a northern island.

I might also skip the group tour. As was pointed out, they can be rushed.

Give us a link to the tour -- there are good, decent-ish and terrible group tours.

The weather would be 100% a crap shoot. Could be lovely, could be awful -- or both on the same day.

Irish schools get out July1 so families head out on their holdays soon thereafter. Though a LOT will be going to warmer places than they would find at home.

I visited in mid-June so can’t quite speak for July itself but we didn’t find it crowded. We were lucky with the weather and had sunshine and warm-ish weather with a brief sprinkle maybe twice in the week we were there.

Irish and UK schools don't let out until July so June would definitely be less crowded. Not tah big a deal if you are looking to take a tour since they pre-book everything. But as above -- do give us a link to the tour. Some like Rabbies and a few others are fine. Some definitely are not.
