Thank you everyone for the congratulations! I have 6 weeks to go on the degree, and planning this Ireland trip has provided little spurts of much-needed escapism from work and school. I love reading everyone's stories and bits of advice, and I can't wait to post my own trip-report!
Bob: The sheep around Lisdoonvarna are going to be legendary for all the wrong reasons after this thread! =) I'll check out that link. It was one of your posts that led me to Mina's threads on Ireland. She's hilarious! Also, did not know about the Tarbert Ferry - so thanks for that little gem!
Ter2000: thank you for the assessment. I thought that might be the case, but good to hear it confirmed. I enjoy going to festivals (not so excited about the matchmaking part), but think I'll extend my trip an extra day and take in some of the Galway Oyster Festival instead. The Fishy Fishy Cafe is definitely on the list of must-eats.
SandratheGardener: CONGRATULATIONS! (or ConGRADulations, as the case may be) on your Bachelors! It is an excellent accomplishment.

Aside from your great trip, I like that you ALSO celebrate the 'annual 30th birthday'! I thought at 40 I should have started going backward..
Have a great trip and for heaven's sake take your time - no need to rush. Enjoy the pubs and talk to everyone!
