Ira's Back from Europe

Hi All,

My Lady Wife and I have returned from a terrific 3 weeks in Zurich, Lindau, Kientzheim and Paris.

Trip report will follow as soon as we get settled.

Someone asked for a report on the St. Josef hotel in Zurich.

It was quite nice.

Ira, I think that was me who wanted to know about St Josef... thinking of using them next year...

Glad your trip went well.

Ira,
Welcome back. I was one of several it seems who asked about the St.Joseph – glad you liked it. We’ll be there in August, although for one night only. If it’s clean with a good location to allow us to see a little bit of the town in the afternoon, then that’s great.
Looking forward for the full trip report and hopefully, pictures.

Hi Ira,
Did your ears burn somewhere around the 17th May? Your name was fondly mentioned at our GTG in Paris!
Looking forward to your trip report.

Hi xyz,

>We’ll be there in August,...

August can be in the high 80's in Zurich.

We don't recall AC at the St. Josef.

We had a corner room, with cross ventilation and a nice fan that we used one night.

Other than that, the location is good (about 10 min from the train station), not far from the river and the old town; the staff is helpful and friendly; the hotel is spotless; the bkfst is good.

My Lady Wife very much liked the dinner we had at the restaurant - has a terrace for nice weather.

Hi Tod,

>Did your ears burn somewhere around the 17th May?

That explains it!

Welcome back!! I've missed the fact that you have not been around to answer my multitude of last minute questions for our upcoming trip (leave on Thurs!). However, Cowboy1968 has been here to provide invaluable info.
