My guess is his profile was nuked automatically and now it has been reinstated. But it would be nice if ira or Barnaby would post back and give an update . . .

Sigh...... So many others who coulda been banned and we wouldn't have been surprised. I'm sure we all could name some candidates, although lists would differ. Hope it's just a filter error.

Barnaby - do you like Spam?

Hello all,

I am back, and just in time, too.

Barnaby was planning on hacking the Fodor's website.

It seems that I was a victim of an overzealous computer.

I had sent an eml letting y'all know about a Black Friday sale and had posted the firm's website instead of name dot com.

NSA take note.

A very nice person reinstated me today.

Good to be back.

Thanks for all of the nice words.

I trust that you understand that the words are to be regarded in the same way as the nice things people say about the recently-deceased - they are not necessarily to be taken as true; they are simply the sort of things people say at times like this.

Paddy, you are a total small minded sh@t!

IMHO, of course.

Padraig - speak for yourself - me and I'm sure most of us said what we said with the utmost sincerity so quit putting wrong words in other folks mouths - even though what you say is in general true in life - the good a person does lives on long after the bad. Ira is IMO a genuine good person - may not always agree with what he says but he is always polite, etc in my long long exposure to him on this forum.

My guess is Padraig's tongue was firmly planted in his cheek. I was thinking along the same lines - sure, everybody was playing nice when it was thought ira was dearly departed . . .

Well I consider Fodor's to be a family - at least with Fodorgarchs who have been around a long long time - we do not always have to agree or even like what others say bu we respect them as family and I do not see any reason to think Paddy's tongue were in his cheek from his comments - but he too is family so...

anyway all's well that ends well... well...

Padraig's paragraph applies to Padraig's paragraph as well. It's like two mirrors facing each other.

Oh dear. I had forgotten that many Americans don't do irony.

You can count on some to be 'irony challenged' . . .

Yeh that is ironic ain't it? OK I and most Americans missed the irony but point taken.

Americans do do irony if it is said ironical!
