iPod travel case

Looking for an iPod case suitable for travel which would offer more protection than a skin. DioShield and Agent18 have clear cases but I’ve seen mixed reviews. Any recommendations?

If you have access to an Apple store, they sell a nice travel case that zips and includes a re-charger, too. It's larger than just a 'skin' for the iPod, which would be a good idea, too. It's about $50. Or try MacMall.com, a great resource for Apple products.

Thanks MaureenB. No Apple stores nearby. There are many mail-order options but I haven't come across anything with good reviews which would offer more than scratch-proofing. Hope to hear from others posters on this.

Try timbuk2 they are available at their own website or through ebags. They are nice because they will attach to your carryon strap.

I bought one for my Ipod mini at Schiphol airport that's a closed, metal case, silver coloured, with a long cord as well as a clip. It has a cover that closes. Very secure I think, but I don't know who makes them.

I'm not sure what material you are looking for, but I bought my daughter a nice leather one on Ebay. It has a neck strap and a cover that closes over the Ipod. It was very reasonable (under $20, including shipping).

Last weekend, I was in a Coach outlet store and saw some beautiful leather Ipod cases.

I don't know what kind of iPod you have, but I just ordered the iSnug case for my nano, off of Amazon. You can check out the companies other iPod products at www.handstands.com The Amazon price was half the price as ordering direct from the company.

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for covers for a 60GB video iPod and have no preference for material. Just want a good case to keep the iPod in good shape; to minimize scratches and safe from bumps and falls.

I stopped at Best Buy but they only had 3 covers/cases for iPod video and I didn't like them. I've looked on-line and there are hundreds of products to choose from so I posted here to ask for recommendations. I'll check "handstands" and Amazon too.

Agent18 has a nice clear case but it doesn't have a cord or clip. I like the iSnug description so I may opt for that. Thanks again.
