Where to find a very small travel radio-travel-alarm-clock.
Anyone know of a very lightweight, compact travel alarm plus AM/FM radio? Where in the US could I find it? So far, all I've found are rather heavy SONY and Grundig models costing close to $150-$200.

Hi Soccr,
I found a nice one for about $65. for my DH that also has white noise, ocean, waterfalls, etc. to drown out street noise while sleeping at Sharper Image. It is pretty lightweight.
Happy journey, Tiff

In any pharmacy like Walgreens, Rite Aid. Check their websites so you'll know what to look for.
Most of the hotels have radio, so I never bring one, I turn on TV for the latest news anyway. My alarm clock from Walgreens was about $5-6 and works fine for several years now.

While I am not completely sure what you mean, I would refer any travel gadget need to Brookstone, Sharper Image or those travel paraphanalia shops one finds in many malls. Also, try googling a very specific description of what you want and see what appears. Good luck.

Kal, have duly ordered the Sangean -- thanks for the referral (and the website). Wanted something about pocketsize and less than 1/2 lb. in weight, with earbud-port so I could turn on the radio at night and not disturb roommate. Perfect! Thank you.

CCrane are good people.
I take my little Sangean DT220v to Kauai each year...no alarm but it gets great reception and I leave all the stations set on Kauai/Hono stations.
But, I forgot all about The Shack!
Good people there and very helpful.
I did buy my Grundig Yatch boy there. I'm still taking electrical engineering classes to figger' out how to work it.
If you guys wanted some great comic relief, I wish I could have filmed me and Mrs Kal trying to download music from our CDs to her computer and into her new little thingamahjigg.
The blind leading the dumb....and we were sober! Sad!
