What's the best/cheapest airline to use from Amsterdam to Marseille? Or, can you recommend a discount broker? Websites?
Thanks.

Try www.europebyair.com. They offer flights from several european airlines. They also have a $99/way flight pass to/from most european cities.

According to a recent newspaper article, full-fledged airlines in Europe are trying to compete with the deep discounters, so check Air France, KLM, British Air, etc.

Ryanair has a $120 one way from Brussels to Carcassonne - you'd have to take a train or bus to Brussels and to Marseille; inconvenient and only worth it if the airfare from anyone else is $300+.

Try Basiqair, Transavia Holland's budget airline. Starting at 29 Euro. One flight a day. www.basiqair.com
They started flying to MRS some 3 months ago.

If you're flying transatlantic on a member airline of Star Alliance or OneWorld, look at the relevent website for "discover Europe" (or some similar name) programs where you can pre-pay for intra-Europe segments very cheaply provided you do it before you leave. For example, http://www.star-alliance.com/isroot/...aq.htm#Airpass

Hi

a few tips for these airlines.

1) They advertise budget fares
2) Prices increase as the flight fills up
3) Many are internet only
4) Obviously midsummer and weekends are more expensive
5) Late flights or unusual destinations are cheaper

So surf the internet and book early to save money.

As an example I am holding quite a few budget tickets right now.

Two are to the same destination .......

1) Return flight leaving 19 August, booked 29 July cost Euro 343

2) Return flight leaving 30 September, booked 1 August cost Euro 97

Bon chance

Peter
http://tlp.netfirms.com
