Into Lisbon, out of Faro Airport?

My friend and I are planning a last minute trip to Portugal in late July. We will have 7 or 8 days on the ground. Very tentative itinerary is Lisbon and surrounding area, Sintra and down to the Algarve. Given this plan, does it make sense to fly into Lisbon and out of Faro? We have not done very much research yet though we would like to get our flights booked. Thanks for your help!

You answered your own question but yes, Faro is really bad for delays and cancelations, mostly due to winds.

Thanks so much! We booked R/T in and out of Lisbon. About to start a new thread for suggestions on itinerary and most efficient use of time. Hope you’ll take a look! 😉

The chaos at Faro airport has to do with the newly implemented border control system; it's hoped there will be improvement by July.. but who knows?

The Algarve will be extremely busy this July so it's imperative to have lodging secured ASAP .
