Interesting sidetrips from Helsinki?
I will be in Helsinki,Finland for five days. I was wondering if anyone knows of any interesting sidetrips from Helsinki. I heard that you could go to Estonia. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions for my trip.

Andrea, take the M/S J.L.Runeberg cruise to Porvoo, which is a nice and tranquil old town.
http://www.msjlruneberg.fi/indexengelsk.html

If you rent a car you could also drive to Fiskars, which is an old industrial town nowadays full with handicrafts and beautiful scenery. http://www.fiskarsvillage.net/index_e.html

If you are a nature-lover, you could go for a small hike to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo.
http://www.espoo.fi/matkailu/englanti/
Try the Leisure time and Programme services links.

As Marc already mentioned, you can very easily get to Tallinn by hydrofoils (there are also some bigger ferries which tka about 4 hours). There is tourist info in Esplanad streer, right next to the Market square. They can advise you with the tickets as there are too many ferry companies to be listed here.

Enjoy your stay here in Finland!
