DELTA FLIGHT TO LONDON

Has anyone flown a Delta 767 International flight? We are scheduled to fly a Delta 767 from Atlanta to Gatwick next month and I dread having to sit in coach for 8 hours on a 767. Are the coach seats/pitch better on International flights?

Thanks to any insight

You aren't likely to pick up any seat pitch in coach unless you happen to bag an exit row, but the 2-3-2 seating configuration of the 767 makes it far superior for long hauls -- in my opinion -- than the 747 with its many more middle seats in the 3-4-3 setup, or the DC-10s with their 2-5-2 seating. Coach is coach, but the 767 has many less bad seats than most.

twodanes,
We've flown DL763s on several flights JFK->MUC or FRA.

The seats are wide but the pitch makes them feel small for anyone 6' or taller. All in all, it's an average int'l coach seat - I've been in worse seats (old Swiss, KLM, BA) and better (AA, Singapore).

We have flown the Delta 767 to Paris a couple of times --I can't comment personally on the seats in coach as we upgraded to business, but my sons (teenagers) begged to never fly Delta to Europe again in coach They felt that AA is much superior as far as room (they are both pretty tall) and food.

I too think that Delta can be especially bad in coach to Europe, but I can't comment on your particular plane--I'm ignorant about plane configurations.
