inter-european flights
If anyone has any information about airlines
with Europe for inter-european flights please
help. My husband I have round trip tickets
on air france to Paris from Atlanta, and we
have decided to extend our stay unplanned.
We would like to fly to Venice for a few days
from Paris and return to paris for our trip
back to the states. Would like to find the
best fares within Europe for this purpose.
Thank you for any assistance.

Unfortunately, our European skies are not as open as yours, especially for smaller stretches such as Paris-Venice. Actually, you could get a good deal if you book in advance with Air France and Alitalia, the two regular companies on this destination. You might also try France's biggest tour operator, Nouvelles Frontières. All those companies have web sites. Expect to pay between 1400 and 2000 F. Otherwise, there is the overnight train solution.

I was just inquiring for my own trip. A very helpful Delta SkyMiles agent told me that they offer a "Eurohopper" fare. If you have a transatlantic ticket you can buy the Eurohopper which gives you 3 legs within Europe for $130/leg. Minimum of 3 legs, however, so check out the regular fares and see which will be better for you. I was quoted $410 rt for Zurich/Venice in March 2000.
