Hi Christina!
I have always tried to make that you have wrote, but I haven't managed to find my post, because it was mentionned: "impossible d'afficher la page".
In my opinion, my PC had a problem.
But thanks to Cocofromdijon who has given me a link, the problem was resolved!!!
Thanks

Salut.

Hello Palq:
There is not public transport from Tours to Vouvray, but in may (21-22 May) there is a vitiloire festival, including excursions in bus and visit and tasting vouvray, chinon, Villandry gardens, dinner in restaurants,...
But if cannot go to this festival, the best solution is to rent a car. But I try to find the best solution for you and i answer you soon for your question!

Heolia, what would be the best way to get to Fontevrault from Amboise or possibly Saumur without having a car??? This is a personal quest of mine after having searched our family tree.

Hello csroe!

I'm so sorry but I have always problems with my PC to go on this website...

I just want to know where is Fontevrault exactly because there are several Fontevrault....
But I think you can take the train.

Could you send me an email at [email protected] in order to answer your question?
Thanks

No no trains to the Fontevraud Abbey, probably not even bus service as it's in the countryside - my highly detailed Michelin Atlas lists only one Fontevraud in all of France and this abbey is one UNESCO's World Heritage List. Are you sure you work for the Loire Valley tourist office?

Thanks for the reply. We have just returned from our 7-week trip, which included my inquiry on our Loire itinerary (3/9). We did all that we planned, and it worked beautifully. Not too rushed, Had a cafe break in Amboise, but not time to see the chateau. The little city of Blere is charming. We had an AMAZING dinner at Le Cheval Blanc and the rooms are comfortable and inexpensive. Can't wait to go back for more!

PalQ: Sorry if I did not answer your question: I'm specialised on the Touraine area in the Departmental Commitee in Touraine. But I know that the Abbaye de Fontevraud is one of the Unesco's World Heritage... I'm sorry. But I probably did not understand what you said...
Prr761: I'm very happy that you spent a beautiful trip in Touraine!!! What did you visit exactly?
