Brittany, go check out a Lonely Planet guide or a Let's Go guide as these are much more geared for youth travel and have a lot of info on pubs, dance scenes, hostels etc. When I was a youngster we stayed at the "unofficial" youth hostel on the North Side of the river. We spent a lot of time drinking in the temple bar... but I believe you need to be 18 in Ireland??? I am sure someone will know if that is true. Trinity College used to have a pub called the Buttery (?) where my girlfriend and I used to go to get the scoop on college parties and dance clubs. Good luck sorry I can't be more helpful... but I am a little bit past the "teen trendy scene".

Brittany,
The Irish Tourist Board have a brochure for younger travellers available via www.ireland.travel.com. How do you intend to travel ? If by public transport then check out www.cie.ie for links to the bus and rail companies. If you are planning on attending the Yeats summer school in Sligo then book now.
The In Dublin magazine for Dublin will cover all the nightlife you may be interested in - I think they have a qweb site - see ww.hoson.ie for a link to it. also check out the Irish Times at www.ireland.com for listings,

Have a great time

Cathy
