In Provence during Bastille Day

In Provence during Bastille Day
I will be in Provence from July 7th to the 16th, during Bastille Day. Will everything be closed due to the holiday? If so, will they be closed just on Saturday the 14th or additional days as well?

lisamarie, I can't really help you with Provence but we were in Lyon on Bastille day. I thought the city would be humming with celebrations but alas it was not to be. Everything was shut, the city dead. What a fizz. The days either side were business as normal. Maybe others could help you specifically with Provence. Schnauzer

We were in Provence on Bastille Day. The Luberon. Most of the larger villages (bonnieux, lourmarin, menerbes etc.) were "open". Some of the smaller towns were closed for business. No celebrations to speak of except for lots of Boulles games going on which were great to watch.
