Impressionist Island Paris (Chatou)
Has anyone done this recently? Visited the island or dined at Maison Fournaise? I would love to hear about your experience.

A good friend did this and said the restaurant was not good....just one person's opinion however.

I do it every time I'm in Paris. I will agree that the restaurant isn't top-notch, but it doesn't pretend to be, either, and I've had a few quite delicious lunches there. It's the setting that's captivating.

i've dined there sitting on the famous porch.. The food was fine but not memorable/

Tagging on to this thread, has anyone visited La Propriété Caillebotte à Yerres? I am a huge fan, so it seems this would be a great day out . . . even though the place has no original Caillebotte paintings!

I have not but I have the beautiful book, "Caillebotte And His Garden at Yerres."
