Impressionist collection closed at d'Orsay

Last week when we were there, the floor with the Impressionist collection was closed, although it appeared some works had been moved to the first floor. Just wanted to warn folks. Obviously, this could all have changed this week....it is Paris after all.

Oh please don't tell me that! I hope it's back to normal by the time we get to Paris on May 8!<BR>Is there anyone out there who can update?

Forgot to add that there is an exhibit at the d'Orsay of Thomas Eakins, the Philadelphia artist, so all is not lost.

Most of the well known impressionist collection are displayed temporarily on the top floor beside the cafe.

The floor closings change from day to day. If the third fl. is closed one day, go back the next and it will (hopefully) be opened. You may want to call ahead. M.
