IMO & Other Terms Definition

Hi,

Could anyone tell me what IMO means? I see it in the postings all of the time and am unfamiliar with this term. Is it "in my opinion"? (guess)

I know that LOL is laughing out loud.

Are there other terms like that which I should know?

Thanks.

Adria

Yes, IMO means "in my opinion". A variation, IMHO means "in my humble opinion", although it seems this is most often used with a distinct lack of humility.

My favorites are BG (big grin) and
VBG (very big grin) I remember guys back in college talking about some guy with a SEG, but I'm too much a lady to define that one.

I know this will never show up (today has been wierd) but my favorites are BG (Big Grin) and VBG (very big grin). Back in college the guys used to use SEG, but I'm a lady and I won't translate that one!
Adria,
On this forum LOL can have two meanings, both usually applicable to the poster who wants a four star hotel the day after tomorrow in Paris in the 2nd arrondisement at a cost not to exceed $65.00 a night. For that poster LOL = Lots Of Luck and Laughing Out Loud.

Notice how the cuteness of these acronyms wear off after a while? Maybe we need a special one for our beloved forum: FSUA "Fodors S...Up Again"?
