Illiminations cruise/tour
We are considering taking one of the Illumination cruises/tours and I noticed theres quite a difference in the prices, with Concierge being the most expensive. Has anyone taken one of these cruises and is there a difference between them. Thanks.

Okay Janis,
If you plan on being smart not only France uses the term CONCIERGE and also I've been booking alot of tours for myself lately and illumination tour is also done in Rome. So before you start giving an attitude on the sight get your facts straight.

janis,

i really surprises me when someone makes as rude a statement as you have done here. why do people not treat others with respect,,does it make you feel smarter or better.

maybe you didn't mean to say "idiot" but that's how it came across. why?
what benefit do you get by being this way? if you think it makes you look smarter,,it really only makes you look less educated and with little manners.

my mother always said that you should make a person fell comfortable when they are trying to say they don't know something,,not dumber.

xxx had a good point,,it does make a difference in what city. in paris there are many cruise companies. in london they are only a few.... regardless xxx politely asked for the city.

enough said,,janis practice your manner's please.

sandra,,as to your question,,i have taken the simple illumination cruise in paris twice,,one had a live tour guide,,one had hand held speakers. i have also taken a dinner cruise which was nice but would rather spend that money on an dinner at say the eiffel tower and do the simple tour guide cruise. (you can catch the cruise boats across the street on the riverbank).

a suggestion would be to ask each company what is included,,you should be able to get a tour guide cruise for about $20.

hope this helps,,

sandy

Paris Vision and Touring Scope offers several options when it comes to Illumination tours. I've taken several in Paris, the best I felt was with a company called Omnicamp booked by my hotel with a guide named Christian. He was wonderful and patient he stopped for pictures when you asked. This company is for private tours with pick-up and drop-off at hotel and an 8 seater minivan. Paris Vision and Touring Scope offers for larger groups that will keep the cost down. They both have websites you can look up the information you need.

Have fun Paris at night is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen it takes your breath away.
