Scotch eggs are ubiquitous here. Every small grocers sells them.

I bet a penny to a pound that the yanks have never experienced the "joys" of a pickled egg.

Pickled eggs are widely availalbe in the US.

Haven't seen snake and pigmy (or cat) custard here though. Even if you could make the description vegetarian, I still think PETA would protest it.

Pickled Eggs? Love them. Ever eat them and drink a beer? That combo makes an interesting gastronomic series of events. More gas than the Hindenberg...

I had one some years ago in Edinburgh. It was at a little stand with a long line of locals.

Ordered a Scotch Egg. Watched while it was deep fried.

Worst thing I have ever had in my whole mouth.

Maybe, one day, I will try another one.

Cat's bum custard is vegetarian. It's custard with banana in it - as to its name; look at a slice of banana, then look at the nether regions of a cat (which they're not shy of sticking in your face). The reason for the name will become instantly apparent.

A properly made bechamel sauce is "white," but bears no relation to it's poor, nasty-tasting commercial cousin. It may or may not contain cheese.
