cheska, Australia has done a better job handling the virus than many other countries. I hope you get to visit family and also do some traveling to some place new to you.
I am concerned about easing restrictions, but I think most people (at least the ones I know in the US) are cautious and will be willing to return to another round of staying in place if need be. A return to normal life might mean a long period where we alternate opening up with staying at home.
Het, that's a concern I've heard voiced here, that people still in closed-down areas will rush to a neighboring county or state that has opened its parks, marinas, and beaches. Not much they can do to keep people out.

This being the extended 4-day Ascension weekend in France, it is interesting to note that in the 100 km confinement zone of Paris/Ile de France, between 70% and 100% of the gites have been rented out. In the rest of France, it is only about 30%, because they don't feel nearly as confined.

The elongated holiday weekend has begun here and the most noticeable thing has been bikers, scores of them, out en masse all over the countryside. There are no bars or cafés open, so I'm not sure where they're stopping, but the drone of their bikes is omnipresent in the countryside. It's annoying.
