icithecat's Scottish adventure

Lilathecat found an airfare sale from Vancouver to Glasgow. Since today is a holiday here, we have to wait until tommorow to verify our freedom.
My question today (many to follow) is what is the name/website of the bus service from Glasgow airport to Edinburgh. We may be crossing over Sept 7.

Crossing over sounds ominous

How great that Lilathecat found this sale! TatethePup waits until the last minute and just takes whatever fare we can get!

Good luck icithecat, what fun!

Yikes. Crossing over was meant to be 'crossing the pond'. Nothing more. I am not ready to cross over to the 'heavy side layer'.
I am only 45. Hopefully a few years left in the old git.

Thanks for the link Gardyloo. The bus looks convenient and cheap.

We booked our tickets today. We will arrive Sept 8th noonish.
First plan is to bus to Edinburgh for three nights. We would then rent a car and head out.
Our last night on the 23rd will have to be at an airport hotel at Glasgow airport as we will have to be at the airport at 7:00 am.

That is the itinerary thus far. Pretty wide open yet. We bought the Eyewitness guide to Scotland today to dream and a new AA road atlas to plan logistics.

Are there any special events during that timeframe to plan for or avoid?

Well The time has arrived. Scotland look out. Ici and Lila arrive Monday.

We will not be in Aberdeen this trip unfortunately, as we are going over west to Skye.

Lila had to do most of the research this year as work kept me too busy, but hell I have a job, so no complaints.

If you see a Crazy Canuck couple driving a rental on the right side of the road, honk and wave.

We should be easy to spot in our his and hers matching bowling jackets, swishy nylon pants and sneakers.

Thanks for all the help from this board.
