Iceland
We are traveling to Scotland this summer and considering adding 5-7 days in Iceland. I don't think 7 days allows us enough time to drive the entire ring road. Does it?? Five days sounds appealing so that I can add another day or so to our Scotland trip with a couple of extra days but 7 is certainly doable and just add a couple of days to the entire trip. We could do part of Iceland now and hopefully return to do the rest. Where would you travelers venture with only 5- 7 days. thank you,

I was in Iceland for 6 days this past August. I was based in Reykjavik and took day trip out to the South Coast, Ring Road and Snaefellsnes Peninsula. My favorite was the Ring Road and would have loved more time to see it. I don't like driving in foreign countries but think next time I would try Iceland to see more. So with that said, you won't see everything but 5-7 days is a good starting point. It was just cold so remember warm shoes and take something waterproof in case you experience cold blowing rain.

Seven days isn't sufficient to drive the entire ring road - we did it in 11 days and it was pretty full on. You can see quite a lot in the southeastern corner alone - I'd personally not go any further north than Hofn with so few days.
