I'm actually outside. My wife decided we had to do something with the car that is since 2 years in the basement.
So in order to get to the car, I had to clean some of the garage, get rid of some garden 'compost' that was blocking the way... Now this took me 3 hours. I then found a terrific device that inflate tyres whilst on some low voltage on the car.
Pausing... then trying to start the engine.
Why didn't I scrap that bloody car ...
Air is probably fresh but humid, neither cold nor hot.
a typical gray day in Belgium (avec un ciel si bas qu'un canal s'est pendu' said Brel. (le plat pays).
I don't want a fight Could we discuss about the weather, the pleasure to be alive, the beauty of the flowers, the wine I should open tonight ?
Yes : what should I drink ?
We have ragoût (like say, gulash, pot-au-feu : meat + patatoes + carrots + onions + herbs + + that you let cook at low heat for 5 hours at least).
To get with that :
Côte du Rhône ?
Ribero del Duro ?
Côte de provence ?
Lubéron ?
Puglia ?
Médoc ?
Margaux (might be overkill).
Loire ? seems too light for it.
Waiting for your comments.
It is 5 pm so I need an answer within 2 hours.

I guess Beijing is off the bucket list then IMD. Paris is the summer too.
Plenty off fresh air here today, a brisk south-wester is ensuring that. There was a time that would have brought a blast of pollution from Germany, but no more. Likewise later when it turns to a north-wester and we would have had pollution from the UK. Now we just have our own pollution to contend with, we have a farty old dog.

Well, we are blessed with the freshest air in the world here in the Pacific Northwest. Just think about it. Our air has been scrubbed squeaky clean by it's long passage over the Pacific Ocean. Everyone to the East of us has to breathe our bad breath, burps an flatulence. By the time it reaches the East coast the air is really foul, and the overly polluted Atlantic Ocean does little to clean it until it reaches the garlic eaters in Europe. (Particularly bad in nasty places like Belgium, Whathehello!)
Now that I have insulted everyone else in the world I should open a window and breathe some of our pristine atmosphere -- except it is raining like hell outside.

wish he would have contributed to the 'Memories and Messages' thread for much insight.
Sorry Dick (Iris)....I don't touch the lounge. Suze, I'm accepted in the lounge but never go there...this looked like a fun thread. IDH has a keen sense of humor which seems lost on Fodors lately. When you reach my tender age you try to only do things that are fun. There's more than enough grims-ville on our troubled planet.

I'd scrub Havana too - the air pollution is one thing I will not miss about Cuba.
A car that I recently test drove had an air quality meter - and even here in rural Cornwall there was a noticeable difference between town air and country air which quite surprised me.

Tahnsk Nuke !
Suze : nope, we young fodorites aren't allowed on the lounge - priviledge for the best, I'm sure.
You don't like when we're snarky, you don't like when we're nice together and speaking of nothing ... You were at the head of a school ! One with physical punishments ? I'm sure nobody dared say a word.

Bon
Since nobody answered, but me being a resourceful tall gorgeous blond businessman used to taking decisions, I found a bottle of Haut-Médoc 1997 in the cellar. Not the best of years but can't be bad...
Cheers... smells good.
