Congratulations!!! Don't drink the wine -- Oops, I mean, don't drink the water, drink the wine.

RE Drink the wine:

Wine consumption is down 10% in France this year and global sales of French wine are down 5%. French producers are mobilizing -- no, I am not making this up -- against "government health-related advertising" and "police crack-downs on drunk driving"!

Hey Travelnut..maybe we're on the same plane!! Just kidding. I wonder why we both lucked out.(falling dollar?) I was very nervous when I called and had all kinds of alternate dates in my head.

Only thing that worries me is when I went to seat guru it said the seats are kind of cramped where are...but so what!! I am very excited.

Auto repair shop owners are also mobilizing. Leave it to the French...

Ha, loisco, I think ALL the seats are cramped! We were going in April but my work schedule didn't look good, so moved it out. Continental could not get us award seats for the return in April so were putting us on Delta. Now that we've moved to Sept, we got the full r/t on Continental. That eats up the last of our miles for a while.

We're on American Travelnut. Long ride from San Diego to Paris (and I hate flying) but I am sure I will be excited in that "cramped seat"....
