Hydrofoil to Capri

Does anyone have information about the hydrofoil from Naples to Capri. The only thing that I could find was Sorrento to Capri running twice a day at 8;30 and 2:30. Am I wrong in assuming there is a hydrofoil from Naples? Our cruise ship docks in Naples.

I'm trying to work out if we we can do the day on our own. I want to go to Hercualeneum and then Capri.

How long does the hydrofoil take and what is the cost?

Anyone know?

Thanks Steve
I had found that website but everytime I clicked on the pages I needed, it says "page not available"
The other timetable and prices I found were from 1998!

BTW Love Bath. Although my husband is still recovering from sticker shock at prices for Sally Lunn's buns (and that was 2 years ago)

Two different companies offer
hydrofoil service from Naples to
Capri. If I remember correctly one
leaves every hour or so. The ride
takes around 45 minutes.
Can't remember the cost but it couldn't
have been more than $15 US or so.
I don't think you need to worry about
tickets in advance, although I went
last April where it was not quite tourist season yet.

I think it would be tough to do both
Hercualeneum and Capri on the same day.
If I had to choose between the two I'd
go with Hercualeneum, Capri is nice
but it is packed with tourists during the day. But if you were able to stay
overnight in Capri, I'd definitely recommend it.
Hey Lisa - I just tried it again and I had no problem. Try this:-

1. www.capri.net
2. Click on 'English Version'
3. Click on 'Transportation' in top left column
4. Click on 'Select the Way' arrow
(-gives you a choice of routes)
5. Click on 'Napoli-Capri'
6. Click on 'Select'

You should get a timetable of all crossings on that route! (Aliscafo-Jet, ferries ... and prices).

Let me know your planned crossing times if it won't come up for you and I'll post them...

Buon Viaggio!

Steve

P.S. Glad you liked Bath! Sally Lunn Buns are outrageous, aren't they? (I much prefer the 'San Francisco Fudge Factory' nearby. Can't resist!!)
