Hi tomarkot -

Good to see you here!

I'll search for your TR as soon as I post this. I'm feeling quite disorganized with this trip - haven't had time to do my usual exhaustive research due to the big move, 15 years worth of storage cleanout and life in general. Not to mention all the snow blowing and shoveling! I guess we'll be winging it a bit more than usual this time around.

Manitou is indeed one of our new neighbors to the east.

Any plans to return to NZ? We're thinking about heading back after Easter, but haven't done a thing about it yet.

No NZ plans right now. In fact, no plans for any international travels now. We're just tying up the loose ends (photos, etc.) from our Sept. Central Europe trip. Our next few trips are domestic, but it probably won't stay that way for long.

I know what you mean about needing time to do research for trips. That's the main reason we have no forward plans.

Snow is beautiful, but the blowing and shoveling gets old fast. Normally, we don't get that much snow, but in some years we get inundated, so we empathize with your situation.

Have a "Happy Thanksgiving"!

Gets old fast indeed. An extra steep driveway doesn't help matters any. The price we pay for living amongst the trees, deer and chipmunks.

Just read the Dresden section of your TR - sounds like an interesting place.

Have a good Thanksgiving. Is it really Thanksgiving already?

tomarkot - yep, leaving for the airport within the hour.

A single nine hour flight plus a short domestic connection is going to feel strange after the long haul from Australia. Strange in a good way I reckon.

Thanks for your good wishes.
