Mid november will be a nice time to just "take it easy" in Paris. It will probably get dark around 4 pm, and light around 9 AM. You'll really have just the ONE full day....arriving Thurs. AM will get you to your hotel by noon or later. You'll have that evening and Friday...and will be up early on Sat. to get to the airport for your flight.
Relaxing to me means WALKING anyplace in Paris, stopping in where you feel like it, sitting in the parks if it is not too cold etc! OR taking a city bus ride past the sights and interesting streets and out into the suburbs to see how the Parisians live. Then back and walk some more. If it is cold then a museum OR your hotel will feel very good and you can rest up for your Asian trip.....turning in early.
No matter what, you will "absorb" the life of Paris.

Just returned from Paris- it was our first time and we only had 1.5 days.. we "saw" the places we wanted to but other than that we just walked alot and explored. For what it's worth, I do not relax well either so can't help there...
However, at the suggestion of some Fodorites.. we used the Batobus on the Seine. It's a "hop on, hop off" type boat with no "tour"... It makes stops in front of the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, D'orasay, champs, etc. It was 11 euro pp each day.
I felt it was really worth it since we were not rushing around. It is about 10 minutes to each stop. No lines or anything. We walked till we got a bit tired, jumped on the Batobus, got off when we wanted and it was really relaxing. They have a good website explaining their stops.
