How to stretch my last 30 Euro in Paris in next 20 hrs?

Thank you TrophyWife for clearing that up on my behalf. I thought I had stated the obvious! Sheez is right. Yes I find it unwise to spend the last bit of cash you have on you in any circumstances.

BTW, I'm not recommending this spend your every last penny thing to anyone! I just found myself in a situation and decided to go with it and it luckily turned out to be pretty fun.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen fishee's new post on the apartment, it's here:

Lots of lovely detail. I've sent off an enquiry to see whether it is vacant in February.

Great narrative, fishee. Your story of the young stalker reminded me of the time I was trudging back to my apartment after a long day sightseeing in Paris when an elderly gentleman suddenly stopped in front of me and offered me his arm. He was not at all threatening, but I must have looked somewhat alarmed, because he said "Mais non, mais non, Madame, I'm not trying to steal your virtue!" (loose translation) I had to laugh at that. Then he told me that he had offered his arm because I reminded him of the women in his village in the Greek isles. I declined his offer but walked home chuckling the rest of the way, wondering how many tourists he'd used that line on.
