Logos just divided the words up syllabically, assuming everyone knows that a w in German is pronounced like a v in English and that the st combination is pronounced like sh or sch in English - no help at all to non-German speakers.
So your noi-schwan-schtein is close, but the middle syllable would be pronounced schvan, not schwan.
v in German is pronounced like the f in English.
