Now it is coming together.
The shampoo bottle expands. It leaks and shorts the electrical circuit. This triggers the spark that ignites the liquid nitro.
If a device like this is checked in luggage, it is more than likely going to explode from bad baggage handling before it gets to the plane.
Now it makes perfect sense why liquids have to be checked.
