I live in Scotland. I have used this board to research trips to France, Spain and Italy. I also got some info for a trip to Skye earlier this year! Because of information and encouragement gained on this board I now stay in apartments rather than hotels, which means that my trips can be longer and more enjoyable.

I'm English, and have used the board to find information, primarily on Italy, but also on transport within London/Airport parking etc.
I find it useful for comparisons, experiences and the fact that fodorites can offer alternatives - for example, I needed to get from Rome to Siena and asked for information on trains. Several people pointed me towards the bus with was much cheaper and slightly quicker.
I found the Australian board very helpful when I was looking for ideas and accomodation.

I'm European and use the forum for info on European destinations, since most of our travels are in Europe.
I think Europeans have a different point of view towards European travel than US visitors. We go on short trips to cities, and don't necessarily want to see all the sights in two days, as we can always come back some other time. If you've saved money and holiday time to spend two or three weeks in Europe, I can understand wanting to get the most out of your time here. American itineraries often look far too full to me; too much travel and sightseeing, not enough down-time. But perhaps if I got to visit Italy or France only once every few years, I would to the same.
And I'm always amazed at the things people know and the amount of research they do. I find this a very helpful forum.

I'm from the UK and regualrly use the European forum. I've also used other areas of the site for my trips to New Zealand and Canada.
I agree with Tulips post - some of the US people's trips to Greece look far from relaxing to me - but I've got the luxury of visiting it on a regular basis so can afford to spend a week or two in one place.
I've had some very useful information from the people on here and hope that I can sometimes help someone else in return.
