Just about the same amount of time..sometime around the end of the summer, 2001. Planning a trip to Italy for Oct 2001.

I am a bit of a "Johnny come lately" - just over a year.

I found it accidentally while looking for something to read in a google query about historical fiction set in Europe. It was after my first trip to Europe about a year and a half ago.

Sometime around mid-2002 I think... Started out researching a trip to Africa and then answering posts on Paris where I was living at the time.

I feel a bit guilty about saying this, but it was at least 1999, could even be 1998.

I clearly need to get a life.

I am not sure but I think 1996, maybe 1997. There are still a few around from those early days but we are missing some of the legends.

Only a few weeks--since April 14, maybe.

Must have been about 98 or 99. We were planning our first on-our-own trip. I have mostly "lurked" on this forum. I believe we are up to our 6th trip planned through ideas and insights from the helpful folks who post here. PJK

Long before registration, I just read through threads. There were some very frightening people posting back then I guess I was a "lurker" for those years before registration It's much safer to ask questions and/or give comments now. Deborah

The year 2000.

Fall of 2004, I think it was. I answered a couple of questions about Nova Scotia on the Canada forum and soon realized I knew more about France than I did about the province where I live.

I came in the age of Elvira.

I started lurking around February or March of 2001, and began to post around April or May of that year. This board has indeed produced some legends, some of whom have passed away (like Wes, Miriam, Ed, and Art) and some who merely chose to leave (Elvira). Myriad friendships and get togethers (GTGs) have been spawned by the posts on this board, and most of the time, I have enjoyed being here.
