how is Italy?

c-dog - We were scheduled to leave for Italy tomorrow but were able to postpone for a week. Our Italian friends have told us the whole country is supportive and just as sad and shocked as we are. We felt terrible about canceling 6 nights in our very small hotel in Rome, and the owner was so gracious and kind. We were able to add some nights at this hotel at the end of our trip.

I think we all still have very mixed emotions about traveling - there are so many considerations.

Buon viaggio and keep safe.

I feel the same as the two posts above. I have found everyone to be extremely supportive. I am overwhelmed by the solidarity being shown here and all over Europe.
Everyone here is as mad and upset as we are, not only because they too have lost many Italians, but because they found the acts as atrocious as we did.
The only worry anyone should have about making the trip is whether or not you are willing to get on a plane.
Once you are here, you will have no problems, just be prepared for many people to ask you if you are ok and if you lost anyone in the tragedy.
