How does the website to reserve "Last Supper" tickets in Milan work?

On another thread it was recommended to look at the website: www.cenacolovinciano.org to reserve tickets for the "Last Supper" in Milan. I can get the English version and get the calendar for the date I want in late May. From there I can't figure out what to do. Nothing I try seems to work. Can any one help?

the best way to secure reservations to the last supper viewing is to email your hotel that you will be staying in Milano and ask them about reservations.
We stayed at the Grande Duca Di York and they made reservations on our behalf immediately with an immediate reply email....very helpful folk.
So, go through your hotel....especially if your time to travel is near because reservation can already be booked solid for example up to 6 weeks in advance...don't delay....as you may know.....only 25 visitors are let in for 15 minutes at a time...thus again....the backlog of reservations.
good luck...

I've just been to Cenacolo Vinciano site and it appears there isn't any slot available this year, except 9 am on January 28. Unless you see, under your desired time slot, the time (e.g. 9 am) and number of places available (e.g. 7 posti), then the slot isn't bookable. It may well be that all the slots are block-booked by tour operators, who may then release places they cannot take up nearer the time. But by leaving it late, you may not get any slot.
I suggest you too contact your hotel and ask for their help.

I would not completely trust what the web site says.

Last year, as soon as the May web reservation opened on 12/21/2005, I tried to make an online reservation. Even when the web site said time slots available, they would not give me a reservation.

I then tried to call them by phone -- 6 times a day for 3 days and still not getting thru. I finally ended up sendomg an email to my hotel, and they got me a reservation.

It might be too soon for the May dates to be put on - from memory I think the dates went on about three months in advance when I tried to book back in August. But once they did go up lots vanished within hours - so the book via your hotel plan is a good one.
