I may pick up a Thrifty rental car at the airport in Florence (I can't pick it up in Florence center as the Florence office is closed on Monday the 16th). Here's my question: What is the best way to get from downtown Florence to the Florence airport to get my car.? Is there a bus? How long does it take? What is the cost?

You may always take a taxi, Joshua. There's a direct bus service by a SITA and ATAF pool, out from the SITA bus station across the square in front of the Sta. Maria Novella train station (Via Caterina di Siena). The service is held every 30 minutes on the hour. Under normal traffic the journey takes 25 minutes.<BR><BR>Paulo

Train Station is too far from the airport and buses are too far in betwee. You better off getting a taxi. Te distance is short and will not cost you a lot of money. I am talking from the experience.
