Hovercraft from London to Paris

Traveling Eurostar was one of the best decisions I made. Eurostar departs downtown Londond (Waterloo Station) to downtown Paris (Gard du Nord station). In other words you do not have to travel to either the airport or from London to Dover via land transport, transfer to Hovercraft, travel to Boloigne or Calais, then land travel to Paris. I imagine all the transfers and additional costs would end you up with the same costs. Also, in case of bad weather the Hovercraft does not make the crossing and you would have to go via ferry which is a 3 hr crossing vs. the hovercraft 30 - 45 min. However, the land transfers will add to that time. The Eurostar is approx 2 hr 50 min. Another thing to think about is to fly into London, Eurostar to Paris and have your return flight from Paris to home.
