My sister is looking for a house that sleeps 6, her and husband 2 children (4 & 6 ) and my parents end of June in Provence. What would be the best town to be located near for them. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Provence is huge. What part of Provence are they interested in?

Sorry, I suggested the luberon but since I've only been there once don't feel comfortable with which town to be near.

What year???? The Luberonn is very popular, and I suspect most of the better properties will have been rented by now for '08.

Places near Gordes, Roussillon, Goult, Menerbes, Bonnieux, St Saturnin les Apt, Lacoste, Oppede les Vieux, Cabrieres d'Avignon, Lagnes, Joucas would be good locations. I would be careful about a place close to Maubec and especially Robion. About half way between Gordes & l'Isle sur la Sorgue would be good, but things become a little less scenic (and you are out of the Luberon Valley) west of l'Isle sur la Sorgue. This assessment is based on my opinion of the scenery in these locations - not on the quality of any specific house.

St. Remy and Bonnieux both have little playgrounds that my daughter enjoyed.
