Hotels on Amalfi Coast$$

Will be travelling on the Amalfi Coast in early June and need a nice hotel, reasonable, somewhere along the way. Love Positano, but it seems pricey--any suggestions?

Hi we stayed in a beautiful hotel in Amalfi, it was early April/2000 so I do not how more expensive it can be now, but it is worth the splurge because of the location and beautiful views...it is the Hotel Luna Convento, in Amalfi we paid with breakfast $150.Good luck,
what I can really recommend is an excellent little restaurant in Amalfi,
fish there was outstanding, really very very good,
namea Taverna del Duca, 089872755,
it is on the main street some blocks from the sea. This is not a fancy restaurant, just a very nice one decoration wise, attended by the owner,
food is really good. A meal for two with wine was some 45 dollars.
Good luck

The hotel is constantly renovating. Their new reception will face the main street in year 2000. They offer half-board rates required Aug./Sept. 5% rm. discount when you show owner/manager Carmela Lucibello or staff this book. Carmela is wonderful and will work with you on your budget. Call her and see if she has something to fit your budget. Walk up the main street, past the Duomo, continue uphill, turn left at the meat market (look for hotel sign) up a flight of steps to the hotel.

Hi The Amalfi sounds very nice, but I just wish to say that the Luna Convento is 4 stars and the view from rooms and restaurant, and sitting room could be 6 or 7 stars.....
