Hotels in Rome

We are spending 2 days in Rome before taking a Mediterranean cruise in August 2020. Need advice on where to stay in Rome and what hotel. We will end our cruise in Athens and will stay one night there. Also need help on hotels in Athens and what we can do in one day there. Any other advice you could give will be appreciated.

Two I like:
Marriott Grand Hotel Flora - Via Vittorio Veneto, 191, - Nice rooftop overlooking the Borghese Park
and
Ambassadors Hotel Palace di Roma, Via Vittorio Veneto, 62 - An older hotel with large rooms and ambiance.

Lately Ive been staying at Hotel Villa Pinciana, near Via Veneto and Borghese Gardens.https://www.hotelvillapinciana.com/en/ Its very reasonably priced for what you get, and although its not on the center of things, its not far to walk or take public transport to any of the main sites. Its certainly close to the Borghese Gallery museum, a must see in Rome.
