Has anyone ever stayed at or heard of the Palazzo Alexander in Lucca?

I stayed at the Piccolo Hotel Puccini in 1996 and have reviewed it before on this forum. While the rooms are very nice and service good, I found our corner room very prone to noise from the street outside. Even though we were very tired from the day's exertions, we couldn't get to sleep for ages due to the noise.

Well, for better or worse I am booked at Villa Alexander in Lucca- will post the results when I return!

Hello. <BR>We were in Lucca this past Sept/Oct and had a great stay at the Hotel San Marco. <BR>It's located about 2 blocks outside of the wall. Easy walk to the city thru a nice neighborhood or grab a buss. <BR> <BR>Wouldn't wanted to have driven a rental car in the city so this was an excellent location. <BR> <BR>Modern hotel. Big room. Great bathroom. Good breakfast. 2-3 English speaking TV channels and a pretty good english speaking staff. Very professional.
