We too are a family of four looking for similar accommodations in London in late June. Seems most places we've come across insists on 2 separate rooms.

Anna,
Try doing a search for "London Guards Hotel" or check out this website "www.demon.co.uk/hotel-uk/guards.html" I've stayed there twice, once in June 1999 and then in January 2000. It is a charming hotel and I highly recommend it. It is about a 3 or 4 min walk to Lancaster Gate Tube Stop on the Central Line and about a 2 minute walk to the Lancaster Gate Entrance to Kensington Gardens. One thing I really liked about this hotel is that it is one block off the main road so it is pretty quite even if you have a room on the front of the building. You can e-mail me direct if you have any other questions about the hotel or the area that it is in. Hope this helps!

It was across the street from my hotel (Rhodes, which I loved) so I decided to take him up on the offer. It was delicious. There was so much food I passed on lunch and almost dinner. I think it was one of the best breakfast menus I came across in London. Cross St.: London St. Tube: Paddington.

Anna:

I e-mailed the rest of the hotel descriptions directly to your e-mail. It was too much for this site to post. Hope you get it this time.

Margo,
Thank you for your concern. I did get your e-mail with the hotel descriptions. You were right, now I have to decide wich one to choose. I tend to settle for the ones with adjoining rooms, so the kids and my husband and I will have separate rooms.

i just booked a triple en-suite room for my own family for late june for GBP 80 (USD120).

many of the budget to moderately-priced hotels offer quad accomodations that are priced incrementally to a double. to find that level of detail, you can look into the other famous guide books that starts with "F", or just go to the websites of the hotels you've already considering, or to a london hotel directory website. on yahoo.com, just search on 'london hotels" and you'll see several directory sites.

you should be able to get an en-suite quad room at or below GBP 100 (USD 150) inclusive of breakfst and VAT.

i think fodor is recommending the new 'london county hall travel inn capital hotel' across the thames from big ben as a family bargain. it's GBP 69, has two double beds and kids are free. (travelinn is on web).

as for myself, we'll be staying at a small hotel (glynne court) near the marble arch (n/e corner of hyde park) that is recommended by both "F.." guide authors.
