Hotels in Cinque Terre

My Boyfriend and I are going to be spending a couple of days in Cinque Terre at the end of Feb., any suggestions of inexpensive rooms/B&B's to stay at (Monterosso preferred) that are not closed up for the winter?

Jessica, my wife and I stayed at the Hotel Pasquale in Monterosso for 3 days in early March of 2001. It was great - very central, great water views (ask for a view), friendly staff, clean plain rooms, modern but very small bathrooms, decent breakfast, about $100 per night.

As I said, it's located in the center of town, about a 5 minute walk to the train station or a 7 minute walk to the car park (which is free that time of year if you're driving).

Check it out at http://www.pasini.com. Unlike most hotels in the CT, it's open year round.

We really lucked out with the weather and had a great time, but not all of the trails were open that time of year. We were only able to hike between Monterosso - Vernazza - Corniglia. And beware the afternoon train schedules that time of year. They don't come as often as listed in the stations. We got stuck waiting for a couple of hours on 2 different occasions. CT was still the highlight of our trip.

We stayed at the Pasquale this past mid September also. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was that our room faced the water but also the steps up to the hotel so people passed often by our open window. So you might want to request a room that isn't right parallel to the stairwell so you can look out at the views without people seeing in!

Thank you - I did see that one while researching places and think that now, hearing all of the good things about it - we'll have to try it!
Thanks Again!
